Delivery Requirements

To ensure a safe and efficient delivery, please review the following important information:

• Required clearance: We require at least 2 additional feet of width beyond the width of the building ordered. For example, for a 12-foot-wide building, a minimum clearance of 14 feet is required.
• Minimum height clearance: A minimum vertical clearance of 14 feet is required for delivery.
• Truck and trailer access: Deliveries are made using a truck and trailer. We are able to place the building exactly where the customer requests, provided the location is accessible.

Please note: It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the delivery location is accessible. Make sure the path is clear and free of any branches, trees, or obstacles that could interfere with delivery.

Base Preparation – Garage / Shed

To ensure the stability, durability, and proper performance of your Kabak Shed, we strongly recommend installing it on a gravel base.

Why choose a gravel base?

• Keeps the structure elevated and protected from moisture
• Provides solid and stable support
• Helps direct water away from the building
• Allows proper airflow underneath the structure
• Ensures smooth operation of doors and windows

Recommended Dimensions

• Base larger than the building: Allow an additional 12 inches (1 foot) on each side.

Example: for a 10' x 10' shed, the gravel base should measure 12' x 12'.

Technical Details

• Recommended gravel type: Crushed stone ranging from ¾” to 1”
• Recommended thickness: Between 4 and 6 inches
• Excavation: Remove approximately 3 to 4 inches of topsoil
• Installation: Place a geotextile fabric underneath, then spread the gravel evenly.

Please note: On sloped terrain, a larger quantity of gravel may be required on one side. In some cases, a retaining wall may also be necessary to keep the base in place.

Base Preparation – Woodland Shelter / Tiny Home / Mini Chalet

Ground preparation is a very important step when installing a tiny home or woodland shelter. Several foundation options are available, including a compacted gravel base, concrete blocks, crawl space, screw piles, or a concrete slab.

The best solution depends on several factors, such as soil type, drainage, site location, accessibility, and municipal regulations.

We recommend speaking with your Kabak sales representative, who can assess your situation and advise you on the best foundation option for your project.

Building Dimensions

All dimensions for our sheds and garages are based on the exterior measurements of the building.

However, for models that are 12 feet wide, the measurement is calculated from eave to eave rather than from the exterior walls. This adjustment is necessary to comply with transportation regulations for road delivery.

This ensures that our buildings can be transported and delivered safely and legally throughout Quebec.

1-Year Warranty

We offer a limited warranty of one (1) year from the date of delivery, covering the following:

• Roofing (water drainage): Any issue related to leaks or abnormal water drainage from the roof is covered, provided the building has been properly installed and used.
• Garage door: Manufacturing defects or operational issues with the garage door are covered during the warranty period.
• Windows and entry door: Any defects related to windows or standard entry doors (malfunction, sealing issues, or manufacturing defects) will be repaired or replaced following evaluation.
• Delivery-related damages: Damages caused during delivery are covered only if all delivery reception and inspection procedures were properly followed at the time of delivery.
• Wood exterior siding (customer selection): When the customer chooses a wood siding option other than our SmartSide LP product (including pine board and batten, tongue-and-groove pine, LOG siding, etc.), we are not responsible for natural cracking, splitting, or movement of the wood. However, if these defects result in water infiltration, the situation may be evaluated under warranty coverage.

General Conditions

The warranty applies only under normal use of the product. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized modifications, or exceptional external conditions.

Any warranty claim must be reported promptly with proof of purchase and a description of the issue.

We reserve the right to inspect and determine the validity of all warranty claims before proceeding with repairs or replacements.

Payment Methods Upon Delivery

Cash 💵

The customer pays the driver directly in cash.

Interac e-Transfer 📱

The customer sends one or more e-Transfers before delivery and provides the security password to the driver.

Payment can be made directly to the driver using our payment terminal.

Credit Card 💳

Payment can be made directly to the driver using our payment terminal.
A 2% fee applies to the remaining balance when paying by credit card.

Certified Bank Draft 🧾

The bank draft must be made payable to Kabak. The customer hands the bank draft directly to the driver upon delivery.
